The d:facto™ MMC4018VL Supercardioid Capsule features an isolation-optimized supercardioid polar pattern. It is specifically designed to augment the human vocal range. The mic uses directional characteristics from the best of two worlds – both cardioid and supercardioid patterns. The capsule’s directional pattern and definition gives high separation and true sound color onstage. It is ideal for PA amplification and recording. Frequency response and phase, both on- and off-axis, is extremely linear.
We recommend using the d:facto™ MMC4018VL Supercardioid Microphone Capsule for stage applications. It offers an applicable opening angle around the center axis comparable to a cardioid. This means that a pleasant tolerance around the center axis is obtained for the singer. Concurrently, the rear rejection is higher than other supercardioids. The rear lobe opening normally seen on supercardioids at 180° angle is extremely uniform and controlled on the d:facto™ MMC4018VL Supercardioid Microphone Capsule.
